An art director by trade and a zine-maker by inclination, Anna Vu first began her best-known art project, Good Food Crap Drawing, in New York in 2011. “I wanted to document and sort of review the food I was eating without wanting to make another food blog with crap photos and bad writing,” she says. Her chosen tools are Faber Castell connector pens and a Micron 0.4 mm felt-tip, and she shuns preparatory sketches in favour of a more immediate, one-take approach. “I just eat the food, then draw it.” Anna currently lives in Sydney, Australia, with a cat called Ninja.
